Indication:
Active ingredient of Eraser “glyphosate” disrupts the Shikimic acid pathway through inhibition of the enzyme 5-enolpyruvylshikimate-3-phosphate (EPSP) synthase. Absent or deficiency of EPSP enzyme reduces the production of aromatic amino acids tyrosine, phenylalanine, and tryptophan. These amino acids are vital for protein synthesis and plant growth. Blockage of EPSP enzyme also leads to massive, phytotoxic buildup of shikimic acid and benzoic acid in the plant and inhibits respiration, bud development, chlorophyll synthesis, and transpiration, leading to death of the plants.
